- Does Western culture have more to offer the world than technology and capitalist globalization?
- How can Western modernity and living folk cultures meet fruitfully rather than destructively?
And the central political thesis: as long as cultural politics is not taken seriously as an independent parliamentary level, it remains the playground of economic interests.
