Who we are and what drives us
Reflexivity Press is an independent publisher of systematic philosophy, founded in 2025 in São Martinho do Porto, Portugal. We combine the classical philosophical tradition with modern digital forms of publication.
Our Mission
At the heart of our work stands the collected edition of the philosopher Johannes Heinrichs. His systematic body of work, developed over more than five decades — from the theory of language through the reflexion-systems theory of society to the theory of democracy — we are making available again in new, accessible editions: in print and digital, across all major channels, so that this thought may find the readership it deserves.
Our Philosophy
We believe in the power of systematic thinking and in the need to make philosophical insight accessible to a broader public. Wherever possible we offer works as Open Access; the books of our authors appear at fair prices, with the aim of wide distribution rather than maximum profit.
Publisher and Authors
The press is founded and run by Kai Froeb. At the heart of his publishing work stands the work of Johannes Heinrichs, which he edits and to which he also writes introductory, explanatory books. Alongside this he pursues a philosophical body of work of his own, related to Heinrichs yet going its own ways.
